Ally Frederick joins as new Cheer Coach

Ally Fredrick has been added to the athletic staff as the new cheer coach. While new to Pallotti, she is familiar to assistant cheer coach Rachel Podorski since they cheered together as ninth graders in 2005. Podorski said, “Coach Ally will be a good cheer coach and will rebuild the team to be better”. Frederick’s day job is at Frederick Chrysler but has never stopped her love of cheer and applied once she heard Pallotti had an opening. Douville, Johnson Departing Pallotti

Lauren Douville ’06, who teaches religion and AP Psychology, and science teacher Kara Johnson are departing Pallotti at the end of the academic year. Douville, who attended school before teaching here for four years, is leaving for an internship, required to finish her masters in counseling. Mrs. Douville says, “it is possible for me to return when I get my license in counseling. I will miss my colleagues and working with them”. The Shadow Wrangler

She’s the pint-sized piston that you see at most every event, her radiant smile flashed at everyone. Most students have interacted with her at one time or another as she directs the shadow program as part of the school’s recruitment process. Virginia Rinker, Admissions and enrollment manager, is head of the shadow program, helping to determine who will best represent SVPHS to all the potential incoming freshman. Michael Nolan, a Triple Threat Teacher

Michael Nolan joined the Pallotti faculty for the second semester, coming from teaching in the military. Recently, he was subbing in Loudoun County, but so far he’s settling in well here in PG County. He said, “Everything’s going great.” Mr. Nolan describes the staff as very welcoming and helpful, and he finds the students very interesting due to the broad spectrum of them. Unlike most single discipline members of the faculty, he teaches Algebra 2, American Government, and Personal Finance.
