After a nailbiting game, the Panthers clawed their way to a 55-53 victory over Saint Johns Catholic Prep High School. Winning this game allowed for the Panthers to stay in their fourth place ranking, which secures them a home game for their first playoff game. Junior Jania Hall led the team in points with 19 followed by Makyla Waleed, 21 with 15. It was a close game till the end but Hall secured a lead with seconds left in the fourth quarter. This past Friday, the Lady Panthers Varsity basketball team traveled to John Carrol to compete in a conference matchup against the Patriots, defeating them 74-55. The starters for this game included Sophmore Makayla Waleed and Juniors Nhaikya Smith, Jania Hall, Jasmine Valentine, and Lindsay Thweatt. This Pallotti team is young with no seniors on the team. The team fought hard to secure the win, led by Hall and Valentine who tied in leading points with 17 points each with Valentine also recording 17 rebounds.
