National French week was from November first through seventh. Emilie Shipman and the other teachers tried to integrate all things French into their classes. Every day was assigned to a different artist, poet, scientist etc., of French descent.

“Every day, I told my students about a different French person who helped changed the world,” Ms. Shipman stated. She asked all of the other teachers to try and do the same.

The school also did things to celebrate national French Week like saying the prayer in French during the morning announcements.

Ms. Shipman will continue to celebrate this week throughout the next years and is hoping that it will grow to become something the school celebrates every year.
