The Madrigal dinner is being held by Arts Academy and is on Friday, December 7, immediately following the tree lighting ceremony. The cafeteria is transformed into the court of King Henry VIII and as the audience eats a dinner cooked by the staff, students dressed as actors will portray the King’s royal court complete with nobles and a court jester to act as master of ceremonies.
This has been going on for two years with the third performance coming up this year. The past two years it was directed by Jessica Scheffer, who left Pallotti in August; and, this year it will most likely be handled by Chris Dwyer.
It has quickly become a big part of Pallotti as seen by last year’s sell-out with more people wanting to go. It is the biggest fundraiser for the drama department, helping them raise more money to continue putting on plays and continuing to do the dinner.
