Girls place 3rd, Boys 8th in Track Conference

The Pallotti Indoor Track and Field team had their first conference meet on Friday, December 14. The girls placed third overall and boys placed eighth overall.

They had an impressive showing in the league’s first full conference meet with five indoor school records falling and several ranking in the Maryland Top 25 by Class. 

The girls were led by sophomore Skylia Day as she placed second with a new indoor school record in the high jump along with a second place finish in the 55 hurdles (personal record) and third in the Long Jump. Junior Nya Moore finished first in the 55 Hurdles and sixth in the Triple Jump, both with new school records.

Freshman Gabrielle Fredericks also made a new school record and earned a seventh place finish in the 800.

Senior Quai Skeete-Ridley finished third in the 55 and 300 while sophomore Delaina Callaway finished third in the High Jump.  Senior Cynthia Roberts placed first and sophomore Orianna Moore placed fourth, both with strong performances in the Shot Put, while freshman Kelsey Eggleston finished eighth in the 300, a personal record.  Kelsey, Quai, Delaina and freshman Amadi finished second overall in the 4×200 Relay.

The boys were led by senior Jordan Marshall’s fifth place in the Triple Jump with a new indoor school record and sophomore Carl Hicks’ fifth place (55) and sixth place (500).  Both the boys 4×800 relays teams (Malik Hamilton, John and James Ikebudu, Kedrick Glasper, Efosa Agho, Owen Wilson, Zion Phillip and Niles Daniels) finished with season best times just shy of the school record.  The 4×200 Relay (Carl Hicks, Therry Enoh, Aidan McDuffie, Sage Phillips) finished second place overall.

Freshmen Sage (55H), Aidan (300), Gabrielle (500/800), Kelsey (55/300), Amadi (300) are currently ranked in the Maryland Top 25 Freshmen in their perspective events through the first three weeks of the indoor season.
